Day Three - Ogden Murals

My online photography teacher Carol Leigh (see sidebar for link) is leading a three-hour photo walk to photograph murals in the SF Mission District today. I wasn't able to attend, so I thought I would do the murals I know about in Ogden. She said her walk through was designed to emphasize composition, line, and design, creating "art from art". I'm hope that is what I've done with my photos.

The first photo is from a mural that can be seen at the Northeast corner of 23rd and Washington Blvd., the mural was done by Kelly D. Donovan.

The second photo is from a mural can be seen on the South side of The Pizza Runner at 3017 Harrison Blvd., I couldn't read the signature of the mural creator.

The third photo is from a mural behind Grounds for Coffee in a garden at 3005 Harrison Blvd., the mural was created by Ayne Velazquez, Omar F., John F., Chris G., Ayne G., and Nicole.

The fourth photo is from mural that can be seen from the Southeast corner of 24th and Grant Ave., the mural was created by Kelly D. Donovan.

The fifth photo is from a mural that is on the backside of the grandstand of the Ogden Pioneer Stadium as you walk the Ogden Parkway path, the mural was created by Alison McGuire.

The sixth mural is on the Southside of Dulceria Mexico at 2765 Washington Blvd., I couldn't read the signature of the creator.

  1. The bird, the eagle, the face with the curly hair -- those are my favorites. Looks like you found a LOT to shoot. Glad I could provide the inspiration from our mural walk in San Francisco. One of my photomotivation "lessons" for next year is going to be "art from art," and this is exactly what I'm talking about. You did well, mister. -- Carol Leigh
