Looking for Some Blue
July the third I start an online class and the first assignment has to do with the color blue. So I decide to go out today and see what blue items I could find and here are my results. The blue with red diamond, and wheelbarrel, were photographed at Lowe's Home Improvement Store, at 344 N Washington Blvd, Ogden, UT. The two was photographed from the old North Star Drive-in, located at 2131 N Highway 89, harrisville, UT, all that is left of the drive-in is the sign, the drive-in is now a housing development. the red, wihite and blue abstract is off a UTA bus, The photograph of the bell was taken in someones yard. The blue and white building is a photograph of Karen Kar's LLC, 7125 S Highway 89, Willard, UT. © Dale Wing

Another Day Seeing Ogden
I drove around my nieghborhood and found the "Car Art" and "Garden Art". I found the bird, which I don't know the name of, and the ducks at Evergreen Memorial Garden, at 100 Monroe Blvd., Ogden. My friend Jessica and her husband Tyler are renovating an 1884 Victorian Mansion, in Ogden, and this is a photo of one of their windows. © Dale Wing

Bird Day
Decide to go to Bear River Migratory Bird Refuge, I photographed on the way there because there are wetlands on both sides of the road and the water fowl was there. Lucky thing I did because about four miles from the refuge they have it gated. Found out the refuge is going to be closed must of the year. After I left the bird refuge I went back into Brigham City, UT and photographed for a while. The birds are a Cattle Egret, a Red-wing Blackbird, a Glossy Ibis, not sure maybe a some kind of Flycatcher, an American Avocet. © Dale Wing

Terenchal Rain Storm Today, but Got My Photos
It really rained hard again today, but the storm let up and the storm clouds let the sun through, and I was able to go out and get photos of the yellow rose and red daylilies.
I went to Logan, UT today to eat lunch at the Tandoon Oven, a great indian restaurant, located at 720 E. 1000 N. Logan UT. It stormed all the way there, but when I got to the valley it was sunny, which was nice.
On the way back to Ogden on highway 89 South, found the barn with the writing on it and decide to stop and photograph it. Further down the road found another barn, which I photographed the door and a window, I think part of the appeal of the barns for me is the rustic texture of the old barn wood. Peeling paint gets me too.

I Started Photographing Late But I lucked Out
I really lucked out with the Sparrow, it only landed on the rabbit's ear for a few seconds.
The daylilies were located in a dark area, but the light was high lighting just the one daylilie which I thought was really neat.
The screen, I signed up for Carol Leigh's DYCE#8. The first lesson is on curved lines, now I haven't seen her lesson guide. So I quess you could say I'm second quessing her, but I hope these are the type of curved lines she wants us to find. I have been looking for curved lines for about four days, and none were showing up, I was getting worried, but today I was seeing them all over the place. © Dale Wing
